The library has a complete physical collection of the main run of GameFan. Due to publication difficulties, only five issues of Volume 6 were actually produced, although they retain issue numbering based on the month they were published. Volume 7, Issue 2 was also not produced.



The collection also includes several special issues of GameFan; the only print issue of the unofficial GameFan spin-off magazine GameGO!; and issues of the relaunched GameFan from 2010.

Gamers' Republic

Abstract

Gamers' Republic was a monthly gaming magazine managed by Dave Halverson, founder of GameFan magazine, after leaving his previous publication. Like GameFan, Gamers' Republic was aimed at the hardcore gaming audience, with a focus on Japanese games and developers, along with coverage of anime.

This collection includes most issues of Gamers' Republic.

Due to internal production issues, there was no February 2000 issue of Gamers' Republic. The following issue (March 2000) skipped the issue count ahead by one number, going from Issue 20 to Issue 22. However, volume-and-issue numbering continued with no skipping.
