GameFan (originally titled Diehard GameFan or Diehard Game Fan through October 1995) was a monthly publication that billed itself as a "next generation video game magazine" and, later, as "the last true enthusiast magazine." Although the magazine covered a wide variety of games, they focused on specialty topics for a video game enthusiast audience, such as import games and role-playing games. GameFan was founded by Dave Halverson, who had previously operated the game store Die Hard Game Club.

Originally an independent publication, GameFan was picked up by Metropolis Media starting in November 1995. GameFan had publication difficulties in 1998, after which the magazine was picked by a new publisher, Shinno Media, which continued printing GameFan through the end of 2000.

GameFan was relaunched by Halverson in 2010 and ran for 11 additional issues.
