Abstract
Gabe Swarr is an animator who served as the character designer for the 2003 video game Go! Go! Hypergrind (originally titled Slammin' Attackers!) while working at animation studio Spumco in 2003.
Arrangement
Materials in this collection were originally grouped together by Swarr using makeshift paper folders. When possible, materials were arranged based on Swarr's organizational structure. An assortment of unlabeled or ungrouped papers were cataloged as "Unsorted artwork," "Development papers," and "Miscellaneous Spumco materials."
Additional development documents and miscellaneous items were interspersed throughout the collection. When their original order was not significant, they were arranged with a more appropriate category.
Existence and Location of Originals
These materials were permanently donated to the Video Game History Foundation's library. The original papers are stored in an archival box.
Separated Materials
Swarr's donation also included a collection of video game memorabilia unrelated to his career. These materials were separated from the collection into a box to be processed later.
Physical Description
All material was received in good condition. Some charcoal pencil drawings received minor damage while being digitized; charcoal traces left on the scanner transferred onto other pages before additional damage was prevented.
