The library's physical collection of Electronic Gaming Monthly covers both print runs of EGM, 1989–2009 and 2010–2015. The final issue of the orignial run of EGM, Issue 237, was never published in print; instead, the collection includes the February 2009 issue of EGM Brasil, which was published the same month.

The library's digital collection also currently includes most supplements included with EGM, with the exceptions of inserts for subscribers (such as Quartermann's Q-Letter), Master Profile pages, and the Sega Force and TurboPlay magazine series (which will be digitized and cataloged separately). Unless noted, all issues on the library shelves come with subscriber inserts.

In addition, this collection also includes the complete runs of Top Score and Electronic Game Player (two short-run magazines that predated EGM); and nearly all special issues of EGM, such as the magazine's annual buyer's guides.

Towards the end of EGM's second print run, regular issues were discontinued and replaced with a handful of special issues. These special issues have their own incomplete numbering scheme, which was only used for issues 4 and 5.
