Play
Play (UK)
Play is a British unofficial PlayStation magazine published by Future plc. The magazine was first published in 1995 and discontinued in 2018. Future re-launched the magazine in 2021 after a three-year hiatus under the GamesRadar brand.
Not to be confused with Play, an American gaming magazine launched in 2001.
PlayStation Official Magazine – UK
PlayStation Official Magazine – UK (sometimes abbreviated OPM) was, as the name suggests, the official PlayStation magazine in the United Kingdom, published by Future plc. The magazine ran until May 2021.
PlayStation Solutions
PlayStation Solutions was a British PlayStation tips magazine by Rapide Publishing. The magazine was also published in the United States, but the only difference appears to be their physical dimensions and numbering scheme; their content is identical (including British advertisements in the US edition).
PlayStation: The Official Magazine
PlayStation: The Official Magazine was the successor to PSM, published between 2007 and 2012. Unlike PSM, PlayStation: The Official Magazine was formally affiliated with Sony Computer Entertainment, rather than being an independent magazine.
Pocket Gamer
Pocket Gamer was a specialty magazine that covered games for handheld consoles. The magazine was part of Imagine Media's Hard Core Gaming Guides brand of niche gaming publications. Like the Hard Core Gaming Guides brand itself, Pocket Gamer appears to have been short-lived, with only two currently known issues.
Pocket Games
Pocket Games was a spinoff of Electronic Gaming Monthly focusing on handheld game consoles. The game primarily focused on Nintendo handheld consoles and games, but it expanded to include competing consoles, such as the Neo Geo Pocket and the PlayStation Portable. The magazine was published on an irregular seasonal schedule for around six years.
