Abstract

Official Xbox Magazine (abbreviated OXM) was the officially licensed Xbox magazine in the United States.

Towards the end of the magazine's run, starting on August 2019, the American edition of OXM was replaced with the British edition of OXM, effectively merging the two magazines. Both editions of OXM were discontinued in April 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic; the final issue is dated May 2020.

Note on Digital Availability

Digital backissues of the US edition of Official Xbox Magazine from April 2012 onward are currently sold via Zinio.

Note on Issue Numbering

Starting in late 2018, the American edition of Official Xbox Magazine was published interchangeably with the UK edition, which has identical content. Starting in August 2019, the American edition appears to have been fully replaced with the UK edition.

During this period, the issue numbers were also copied from the UK edition, with no attempt to synchronize them with the American run of OXM. This caused the running issue number for OXM to fall out of sync by 50 issues (eg., the issue that would have been Issue 229 was printed as Issue 179). The issue numbers have been cataloged as-is based on the copies held by the library.
