Abstract
CES Trade News Daily (originally titled Trade News Daily) was an independent daily newspaper published during the Consumer Electronics Show starting in 1973, covering news and exhibitors at the trade show. Before the debut of the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in 1995, CES was the primary trade show for the video game industry, and the CES show dailies from the 1980s and 1990s feature notable early coverage of the video game industry.
It is unclear when the paper was discontinued, but it may have been discontinued after Winter CES 1994 (January 5–8, 1994); these are the latest issues held by the library, as well as the last issues which had their copyright registered.
This paper is not to be confused with Consumer Electronics Show Daily, the official daily magazine for CES. CES Trade News Daily was not formally affiliated with or licensed by the Consumer Electronics Show.
