Abstract
Throughout the history of the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), the Entertainment Software Association (previously the Interactive Digital Software Association) has licensed various publishers to produce the E3 Show Daily, a daily newspaper covering new and announcements at E3. The content in the magazine was almost entirely promotional but included show-specific information, such as floor plans, exhibitor profiles, and discussions of trends in the game industry. The show dailies also included unique advertisements for game companies and their booths.
Print issues of E3 Show Daily are known to have been published through 2016, after which the event pivoted from being a closed trade show to being an event open to the public. E3 Show Daily was not printed in 2007 and 2008 due to the smaller scale of the event in those years.
