Abstract
Atari Explorer was the second official magazine for Atari computers (following Atari Connection), published sporadically from 1985–1993. The magazine was founded shortly after Warner Communications spun off the consumer products division of Atari into a separate company, Atari Corporation.
The magazine featured coverage of Atari computer software and hardware, as well as news about the company itself. Although the magazine mostly stuck to a bimonthly publishing schedule, apparent disruptions in publishing led to gaps in the schedule, particularly towards the beginning and end of the magazine's run.
Atari Explorer was one of several publications from this era featuring contributions from notable game writers Arnie Katz, Bill Kunkel, and Joyce Worley,
