Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

This collection includes scanned documents, digital images, disc images, and audiovisual recordings of material collected during the career of game producer Mark Flitman. The collection includes internal business and development documents, guidelines and research for licensed properties, production assets, personal correspondences, and related memorabilia and newsclippings.

The materials in this collection have been arranged based on the companies Mark Flitman worked at during his career, then divided by individual project. A selection of sensitive documents have been separated from the rest of the collection and restricted. Personal information has also been redacted throughout the collection where necessary.

Conditions Governing Access

Development builds of games and selected sensitive documents are restricted. Closed access to these items may be provided to individual researchers at the discretion of the Video Game History Foundation library staff. Restricted items are noted in their individual records.

For the sake of access, digital images of press CDs that were meant for public consumption have been uploaded to the Internet Archive. Links to Internet Archive mirrors are available in the individual records of those items.

Historical Note

This is an unsolicited pitch by Mark Flitman for a third game in Sierra's Phantasmagoria series. It is unclear if it was ever presented to Sierra, and it likely never entered production. Flitman continued working on his pitch until at least November 15, 2000; this later revision is available in Mark Flitman's file backups from Midway
