Historical Note

Although many issues of Play include some sexualized imagery or language, this issue is especially brazen in its depiction of animated nudity and sexual content. In the December 2002 issue of Play, editor-in-chief Dave Halverson noted that some early issues of Play were pulled from sale due to their adult content (p.6). This issue of Play was difficult to find, suggesting that it may be one of the issues taken out of circulation.
