Conflicting sources suggest different publishing dates for Issue 1 of Retro Gamer. By all accounts, Retro Gamer launched in January 2004, but others have indicated this issue was not actually published until March 2004, one month before Issue 2. Because there was no preceding issue, no definitive publishing date is available.
