Abstract

These photos were taken outside a Toys "R" Us location in Kōrien, Osaka, where Colin Williamson purchased a PlayStation 2 when the system launched on March 4, 2000. Because Williamson arrived so early the night before, he was given a redemption ticket (ticket.jpg) and allowed to return later to redeem a console, which went on sale the following morning (ps2rush.jpg)
