This collection includes promotional materials, press kits, flyers, magazine clippings, memorabilia, game demo discs and press builds, and other ephemera from the history of game developer FromSoftware, primarily from Japan, spanning thirty years of company history from the first King's Field game from 1994 through Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree from 2024. The vast majority of the material in this collection was digitized in advance by the donor and uploaded to the Internet Archive, with the exception of digitizing European DVDs and Blu-rays.

Abstract

"Initial release poster for Bloodborne by FromSoftware for PlayStation 4. B2 paper size (50x71cm). Photoshop composite of 4 individual 12x17" scans @ 600dpi. The release date for Bloodborne was initially announced as February 5, 2015 (source MCV UK). After feedback from the alpha test (fall 2014), the release was delayed by seven weeks to late March (source PlayStation Blog)."
