Historical Note
This letter was not written by Game Informer staff. Due to its vague language, social media users speculated that it may have been written by a GameStop executive using a generative algorithm. Shortly after this email was sent to subscribers, a post on Game Informer's X.com account declared that "Our 33-year legacy deserves a genuine goodbye." The entire Game Informer account was quickly deleted, presumably by GameStop staff.
