Chris Weiss, Maxis games and papers
Content Description
A collection of games and materials from Maxis from 1991–1997. These are primarily retail games, many of which are sealed and/or autographed by the game's launch team, including copies of pirated versions of Maxis games obtained from overseas by Maxis counsel Bob Derber; and sealed copies of the rare special promotional editions of SimTunes and SimPark that come with a harmonica and an outdoors watch, respectively. Weiss's donation also included a box of Computer Game Developers' Conference proceedings; a product development handbook binder from Maxis, undated but with materials roughly spanning 1992–1995; and digital documents and photos from the production of Maxis games from roughly 1996–1998.
