During the Future Network era, a separate company name, Future Plus, was used for branded publications produced by Future US for other companies, such as SOE Worlds for Sony Online Entertainment.

Their first attempt, IGN64.com The Magazine, was published by their owner Imagine Media back when the site originally exclusively covered Nintendo 64 games. This iteration of the magazine listed only one issue. Later in 2001 as an independent company, they attempted to relaunch their magazine with GameShark under the title IGN.com The Magazine....
