Abstract Mark Flitman is a retired game producer who worked at game publisher primarily in the Chicago area from the 90s–2000s, including Konami, Acclaim, Mindscape, Midway, and Atari. In his career, Flitman often worked on product strategy for game publishers and managed the production of licensed game titles, in particular video games based on Marvel and DC comics properties and The Simpsons. Abstract

New York magazine ran one of the earliest print advertisements for the Nintendo Entertainment System, which debuted in New York as a test market. The ad ran twice in November 1985, first on November 4 (Volume 18, Number 43, p.8–9) and again on November 25 (Volume 18, Number 46, p.12–13).

Nintendo Comics System

Abstract

From 1990–1991, Nintendo licensed Valiant Comics to produce Nintendo Comics System, a series of comics based on Nintendo games and consoles. Over the two-year run of Nintendo Comics System, Valiant produced seven comics series, one series of graphic novel books, and published two collected "Best of" volumes.
