We attempted to present both variations of these inserts in our digital copy when available; our digitized copy currently does not include an inserted promotional comic for the Super Nintendo game Vortex, subtitled "Enter the Whirlwind."

Based on auction listings, sealed copies of this magazine included an original 16-page Mighty Max comic tieing into the licensed game published by Ocean Software; three trading cards (Funky Kong, Earthworm Jim, and one unidentified); and a poster for the game Lufia and the Fortress of Doom.

Game Player's Sports for Kids, December 1989 – September 1991
Game Player's Sports for Kids was a spinoff of Game Player's covering professional and youth sports. Apart from limited, sporadic coverage of sports video games (and some video game advertisments), Sports for Kids has little or nothing in common with its parent series apart from sharing some editorial staff.
