Historical Note
Beyond their contributions to this newsletter, the staff of Digital Press were notable organizers of the early American retrogaming community. Sean Kelly, who wrote for Digital Press, organized the World of Atari expo in 1998. This event evolved into the Classic Gaming Expo, the first American retro game convention; Digital Press writer John Hardie joined CGE in 1999, and editor Joe Santulli joined in 2000. After the conclusion of Classic Gaming Expo, Santulli, Kelly, and Hardie co-founded the National Videogame Museum in Frisco, TX in 2016.

Abstract
Digital Press is a long-running retrogaming newsletter published by Joe Santulli. The newsletter started out covering new game releases and gaming news; however, it quickly specialized in classic games, game collecting, and retrogaming culture, arguably becoming the first major retrogaming periodical in the United States.
Digital Press was published bimonthly through mid-1996, after which it shifted to an erratic seasonal schedule, sometimes going years between issues. The last known issue was published in Summer 2018.
During the run of this newsletter, Joe Santulli started a retro video game store of the same name, Digital Press, in Clifton, NJ.
