Abstract
Computer Gaming World (often abbreviated CGW) was one of the longest-running magazines about computer games. Originally published by Golden Empire Publications, Inc., CGW was sold to Ziff Davis, Inc. in November 1993.
After a 25-year run, CGW was relaunched as Games for Windows: The Official Magazine, officially licensed by Microsoft, and continued for another 17 issues.
