Abstract
NewMedia was a magazine that covered emerging multimedia technologies in the 1990s. Each issue covered a range of multimedia development tools, consumer-facing content such as games and hardware, and articles about industry trends. The magazine was discontinued in 1999 at the tail end of the multimedia era.
The magazine is notable for hosting the Invision Awards, which were given to multimedia titles. Recipients included games as well as educational software, informational and reference CD-ROMs, and interactive kiosks.
