Abstract

PoJo's Video Game Review (later simply titled Video Game Review) was a short-lived video game magazine published around 2001. It was styled like a consumer product guide, featuring news and reviews about upcoming games and consoles, as well as spotlights on gaming accessories. Game reviews in PoJo's Video Game Review did not have scores assigned but rather acted more like product recommendations.

The PoJo brand started out as The Almighty PoJo, a Pokémon fan website started in 1999 by Bill Gill. According to the first issue of Pojo's Unofficial Pokémon News & Price Guide Monthly, PoJo partnered with collectibles magazine publisher H&S Media for a series of PoJo-branded magazines, mainly focusing on trading card games, as well as this video game magazine. All PoJo magazines seem to have lasted only through 2001, although the PoJo website continued as a Pokémon and trading card fansite.
