Abstract

INFO Magazine (originally INFO-64, later .info) was a Commodore computing magazine edited and published by Benn Dunnington. The magazine covered a variety of hardware, software, and games for Commodore computers, including the Commodore 64, Commodore 128, and Amiga. INFO also had extensive advertisements for Commodore software and hardware companies, which are a glimpse into the extensive Commodore community.

Notably, INFO declared that it was the first magazine produced entirely using computers. Early issues have a distinctive low-resolution presentation due to its production using Commodore 64 hardware. In the first issue of INFO (p.5), Dunnington explained, "We feel that using the equipment we address, in every way we can, is the best way to stay in touch with the subject & the needs of our readers."

As a self-published magazine, INFO had an inconsistent publishing schedule. The magazine started out quarterly, switching to bimonthly, then finally monthly, occasionally skipping months as needed, sometimes as far as four to five months between issues.
