Walmart GameCenter
Scope and Contents
This is a partial collection of Walmart GameCenter, Geek Magazine, and Walmart Parents Guide To Videogames.
All three magazines were published on irregular schedules and were frequently undated. Dates were listed with the digital copies of many issues, although many of those were unavailable at the time of cataloging. When possible, dates were also taken from copyright years printed each issue, from editorial comments, or from the Retromags entry for Walmart GameCenter (which appears to have been sourced from the digital issues). Due to a lack of issue numbering, the total number of issues for Walmart Parents Guide To Videogames is unclear.
This collection also includes two issues of Launch Day Magazine that were available through the EGM Media website. Due to the deliberately ephemeral nature of Launch Day, it is unclear if any other survivng issues exist.
Because Walmart GameCenter and its affiliated magazines were distributed digitally for free, we have decided to include digital copies in our library even when we are missing a physical copy of the issue.

Historical Note
The EGM Media website also lists an "Electronic Gaming Monthly 2021 Yearbook," a magazine special from the Walmart GameCenter era of EGM Media that would have used the EGM brand name. However, according to EGM Media editor Mollie Patterson, this issue was never produced.

Abstract
Walmart GameCenter Magazine was a free magazine distributed by Walmart, covering new and upcoming games and gaming hardware. The magazine was produced and published by EGM Media, run by Electronic Gaming Monthly founder Steve Harris. EGM Media also produced two other magazines for Walmart: Geek Magazine, a general pop culture magazine; and Walmart Parents Guide To Videogames.
Walmart GameCenter appears to have been discontinued at the end of 2023. The last issue listed on EGM Media's website, Issue 97, is dated November 2023, while the last issue of Geek Magazine is dated "Winter/January 2024."
Walmart and EGM Media also published Launch Day Magazine, a digital publication that covered the launches of specific major commercial releases. Launch Day was only available as an app, and as a result, few to no issues of this magazine survive. It appears to have run sporadically from 2014–2016.
