Abstract

The Sports Game Review was a bi-monthly magazine covering sports video games across all platforms but primarily computer games. Some time between 1994–1995, the magazine was renamed PC Sports & Video Games to indicate its focus on computer sports games. The magazine appears to have run through at least January 1995.

Blip

Abstract

Blip was a monthly video game magazine for children published by Marvel Comics. The magazine included a mixture of game tips, reviews, behind-the-scenes stories, and comics inspired by popular games. The magazine ran through 1983 and was discontinued in August that year, likely due to the downturn of the American console game industry.

Nintendo newsletters

Nintendo Comics System

Abstract

From 1990–1991, Nintendo licensed Valiant Comics to produce Nintendo Comics System, a series of comics based on Nintendo games and consoles. Over the two-year run of Nintendo Comics System, Valiant produced seven comics series, one series of graphic novel books, and published two collected "Best of" volumes.
