"Riven Party Loop" [Digital Betacam], October 23, 1997
Scope and Contents
This collection includes over 200 videotapes and audio recordings from the history of Cyan and the Myst series. The videos are primarily from the production of Riven: The Sequel to Myst, including raw camera footage and composite tests from the filming of the live-action portions of the game, developer interviews, and behind-the-scenes footage used in "The Making of Riven" documentary. The tapes also include footage from other Myst-related projects, along with footage from general Cyan history, such as news appearances and industry presentations.
Several tapes also include footage of other video games released during the time Riven was development, presumably from Cyan's market research. Some videos that were irrelevant to the history of Cyan were digitized but omitted from this collection.

Abstract
Note from the digitization vendor: "This tape consists of a 01:02:10 video, recorded twice in sequence onto the tape. This is reflected in the label on the tape case. The end of the recording is marked by the logo of the production company [Pacific Video Resources]. This hour(ish)-long recording ITSELF is a loop of a single video 00:13:01 long, repeated five times. The fifth and final loop has a few minutes of content cut out. Due to the repetition, the [access video file] was trimmed to 00:13:01 to contain only a single instance of the same content. However, the [archival file] retains the entire first hour of content, in order to preserve the original structure, including the slightly shortened final instance of the loop and the production logo at the end."
